Llangynidr Primary School

School Council

Our children are encouraged to have their say about the things that matter to them.

The School Council is just one way we give our pupils a platform to speak up. It is a long established committee, a democratic body with at least two representatives for each year group from Year 2 to Year 6, elected by the pupils.

The Council represents the needs and interests of the children. Meetings are led by Mrs Boswell, who passes on ideas and concerns to the rest of the staff and the Governing Body.

The Council have their own bank account and raise funds throughout the year for projects they choose. Most recently they organised a spooky disco for their classmates and have invested in new football goals and a new library area.
