Llangynidr Primary School

Lunch and Snacks

Healthy eating is an important part of learning to become healthy, confident individuals.

We ask that parents provide a healthy snack of fruit for morning break, along with a refillable water bottle every day.

School meals are cooked on the premises, offering seasonal menus of hot food. There is also the daily option of jacket potatoes with various fillings, pasta as an alternative carbohydrate, salad, and fresh fruit.  Vegetarian options are available.  Special diets can be catered for on completion of a medical form.

The food is provided by Powys Catering and you can find the upcoming menu here.

Children may bring a packed lunch to eat in the dining hall if they prefer. We discourage fizzy drinks, chocolate or sweets as part of these lunches. There are tips on healthy lunchboxes here.

We ask that no nuts are brought into school under any circumstance to avoid any risk for people with allergies.

Dinner money is paid online via Parent Pay, and we ask that parents/carers ensure they have enough credit in their account at all times.
